Dr. Lewis F. Galloway and the Rev. Dr. Jeri Perkins. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road. Memorials may be made to Presbyterian Retirement Home, 801 Musgrove Street, Clinton, SC 29325. Mr. Randall died Thursday evening, February 8, 2001 in the Presbyterian Home in Clinton, his residence for the past seven years. He was a longtime resident of Columbia, from 1940 to 1994. Born in Franklin County, Lavonia, Ga., he was a son of the late Henry O. Randall and Julia Ann Sewell-Randall . While living in Columbia, he and his wife, the late Ollie Bond Bondurant-Randall, resided in the Shandon area and were longtime members of Shandon Baptist Church. Mr. Randall attended the Athens (Georgia) School of Business, served in the U.S. Army during World War I, being discharged on March 15, 1918. During World War II, he was a Captain for the Civil Defense in Columbia. He was an employee of Southern Bell, now BellSouth, for 44 years, retiring in Columbia at age 65 in 1967. He was a member of S.C. Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Carey Woodson Randall and Marianne Brown- Randall; daughter and son-in-law, Saralyn Ann (Susie) Crawford and Charles R. Crawford, all of Columbia; granddaughters, Kathy Crawford-Mercer, Mt. Pleasant and Deena Randall-Edwards, Huntsville (Madison), Ala; grandsons, Michael C. Crawford, North Charleston, Carey Woodson Randall II and his wife, Judy, Michael Cain Randall and his wife, Terri, all of Columbia; one great-grandson; three great-granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers and five sisters. Mr. Randall was a gentle man and a gentleman. He was affectionately known as "Pop." Every child, grandchild, great-grandchild and those children to come owe a great debt of gratitude and a deep sense of thanks to "Pop" for the family values and individual strengths he handed down. Every success each child experiences in education, in the military and in business has been touched and influenced by "Pop." We thank him for everything he gave us.
