====== Jesse (Anderson) Adams ====== Son of unknown parents, Jesse Adams was born during 1812 in Virginia. (it is sometimes mistakenly assumed "John M. Adams" was his father, but "John M. Adams" lived in South Carolina... not Virginia) On Sept. 24, 1835, Jesse Adams married Lettice Christian Collier (age 18) in Franklin County, Georgia.((http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&db=eamga&h=23171&tid=&pid=&usePUB=true&rhSource=8054)) Lettice Christian Collier (born June 2, 1817 - died Feb. 12, 1917) is "believed" to have been the daughter of Thomas Collier (born September 23, 1784 in South Carolina - died May 24, 1855 in Franklin Co., GA) and Mary Collins (born sometime between 1792 and 1795 in South Carolina - died Aug. 4, 1872). However, I've not found any direct evidence to support this. Collier sometimes appears as "Collyer". They had the following children: - Franklin Epp Adams (born Abt. 1836 in Carnesville (Franklin County), Georgia. He served in the Georgia Volunteer Infantry, 34th Regiment, Company G (along with Anderson Smith Randal).
