Son of [[john_bull|John Bull Randal]] and Hanna Harvey, Pinckney Harvey Randall (his middle name obviously his mother's maiden name) was born about September 5, 1814 in Franklin County, Georgia (well after his family name had been changed from Bull to Randal).
At some point, Pinckney Harvey Randall moved to Cobb County, Georgia where he met Catron Gatewood Pace.
On June 6, 1837, Pinckney Harvey Randall (at age 22) married Catron Gatewood Pace (age 20). Daughter of [[hardy_pace|Hardy Pace]] ((http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=35412973)) and Lucy Kirksey Pace ((http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=35413054)), Catron was born on Oct. 24, 1816 in Cobb County, Georgia.
Pinckney and Catron had 6 children and stayed in Georgia.

To authorize Hardy Pace and Pinckney H. Randall to build a Mill dam across the Chattahoochee river on their own land in the counties of Cobb and DeKalb.\\

Section 1st\\
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Georgia in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same that Hardy Pace and Pinckney H. Randall be and they are hereby authorized to build and keep up a Mill dam across said river on Lots of Land Nos two hundred and fourteen in the seventeenth District DeKalb county and one thousand and twenty five in the seventeenth District and second section Cobb county.\\

And be it further enacted that all laws and parts of laws militating against this act be and they are hereby repealed.\\

Hardy sold property in old DeKalb, then Fulton, to his son-in-law Pinkney Randall, April 20, 1850, 607 ½ acres, for $700, with reservation of mines and minerals to him. Eighty years later, a portion of this tract was sold for $50,000, located on Mount Paran Road.

While the 1850 Census record is very light, and therefore difficult to read, most of it is legible. However, it appears to contain two errors. First, it appears to list Hardy's middle initial as a "J." rather than an "I". And second, the last person listed, while not named, is suspected to have been Penelope Randall... whose tombstone states her birth date as Oct. 15, 1849.((http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=71874469)) So she would have 13 months old at the time of the census.

Catron died on November 6, 1864 (at age 48) in Milltown, Georgia.
Pinckney died on January 27, 1887 (at age 72) in Fulton, Georgia.
