Son of Anderson Smith Randal and Sophia Mitchell, Ira Robert Randall was born during January 1870, in Franklin County, Georgia.

During 1895 (according to the 1900 U.S. Census), Ira Robert Randall married Mary Lou Virginia “Jeanie” Whitworth (daughter of Thomas Southerland Whitworth1) and Martha E. Griffin Whitworth2)).

They had the following children:

  1. Viola Estella Randall Farr (Dec. 30, 1898 - June 7, 1974)3) She married Wesley Cornelus Farr (May 8, 1890 - March 4, 1972).4)
  2. Janie Divilla Randall Sewell (May 7, 1912 - July 5, 1969)5) She married Oliver Parker Sewell (March 1, 1910 - Feb. 16, 1973).6)

After marrying Mary Lou Virginia “Jeanie” Whitworth, Ira Robert Randall and his new family lived next door to his sister and brother-in-law, Sallie D. Randall Mitchell & Benson Mitchell. By 1900, his mother, Sophia Mitchell Randall, was also living with his sister, Sallie.

We know that during 1920 (from the U.S. Census), Ira Robert Randall owned a home in Gum Log, GA, but it is unclear as to whether it was the same home that he owned in 1910. And his brother, Thomas Watson Randall appears to have moved.
