Thomas Collier

Son of Moses Collier (born Oct. 27, 1746 in England - died Abt. 1819 in Franklin Co., GA) and Dorcas Sutherland (born 1744 in England - died 1825), Thomas Collier was born September 23, 1784, in Union County, South Carolina.

On December 3, 1808, Thomas Collier (age 24) married Mary Collins (born between 1792 and 1795 in South Carolina) in Franklin County, Georgia.

They had the following children:

  1. Sarah Collier (born February 27, 1811, in Habersham County, Georgia - died on October 6, 1889, in Habersham County, Georgia)
  2. William Collier (Jan. 7, 1813 in GA - died May 24, 1855 in Franklin Co., GA). He married Elizabeth Bentley during Oct. 1846.
  3. Letty Collyer (born on June 22, 1815, in Habersham County, Georgia - died during 1915)
  4. Christian Collier (born June 2, 1817 - died February 12, 1917).
  5. Nancy Collier (born April 19, 1819, in Habersham County, Georgia - died during 1895, in Habersham County, Georgia)
  6. Wiley Collier (born 1822 - July 7, 1892). Married Nancy S. Bentley (born Jan 21, 1824 in GA - Nov. 17, 1895)
  7. Elizabeth Collier (August 8, 1824 - )
  8. Berry Collier (1826 - 1863)
  9. Russell Collier (1845 - 1903)

In 1819, Thomas Collier appears on the Franklin County, Georgia “Tax List 1819” (Database: GA 1792-1819 Tax Lists Index, Page 015).
