| Note: The only obvious error in this census is that Eugenia is misspelled as "Lugenia" (perhaps due to her mother's Irish accent?). |

| <note>Most of the original 1890 U.S. Federal Census records were destroyed or badly damaged by a fire in the Commerce Department in 1921. Records enumerating only 6,160 individuals—less than one percent of the schedules—survived. Those for the Randal family were destroyed.</note> |

Note: While Thomas was listed as an "Adams" in the 1870 Census, he was listed as a "Clark" in the 1880 Census. He was actually [[jesse_thomas_jackson_clarke|Jesse Thomas Jackson Clark]]. While the 1870 Census did not list "relationship" (e.g., son, daughter), this was included in the 1880 Census... and Thomas was identified as a "Servant" (rather than an "adopted" child - as this was closer to the reality). | Note: The census indicates that Roland and Genie had been married for 6 years; and that Genie was the mother of 2 living children, suggesting that daughters Eva & Flossie were from her previous marriage (otherwise, "Genie" would have had Eva when she was 14 years old and Flossie when she was 16 years old). This is supported by descendants Wm. Robt. Randall, Sr. & Jr., who stated that Eugenia was the 2nd wife of Roland Pinckney Randall. |
