Hannah N. Randal
Daughter of Oney Cypress Randal and Susannah (her full name may be “Susannah W. Wilkins”), Hannah N. Randal was born March 3, 1845 in Franklin Co., GA. [] During 1865 (estimating from the date of first marriage provided by Andrew Jackson York on his 1930 U.S. Census), Hannah N. Randal married Andrew Jackson York (Born March 19, 1842 in Franklin Co. Georgia - Died Dec. 28 1938 in Pahokee, Florida) son of Rev. John Gratison York (1811–1864) and Anna Banks Thomason (1812 – 1894). 1)
There is a great deal of uncertainty regarding Hannah's date of death… and which children they had. But they are believed to have had the following children:
- Sarah A. “Sallie” York (1867 - ) Likely named in honor of Andrew Jackson York's sister, Sarah Elizabeth York.
- John M. York (Born: Birth 1873 in Franklin, Georgia - ) 7) Likely named in honor of Andrew Jackson York's brother, John H. York.
- James R. York (Born March 11, 1876 in Franklin, Georgia - Died: 1967 in North Carolina) 8) Likely named in honor of Hannah's brother, James Ronald Randal.
- Fannie J. York (Born: 1878 in Franklin Co. Georgia - ) 9) Likely named in honor of Andrew Jackson York's sister, Frances Evaline York.
- Ira York (Born: March 3, 1880 in Franklin Co. Georgia - ) 10) Likely named in honor of Hannah's brother, Ira Wilbur Randal.
- Infant son (Jan. 1, 1882 - June 1, 1882); Buried in “Clarks Creek Baptist Church Cemetery” Martin (Franklin County) Georgia.11)
On November 20, 1861, Andrew Jackson York enlisted in the CSA 11th Georgia Calvary, Company D.
