Son of William Wilburn Mitchell, Sr. (Born 1748 in Virginia - Died 1819 in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia)1) and Harriet Randolph (Born 1752 in Virginia - Died 1824 in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia)2), William Mitchell was born in Virginia on April 27, 1772.3)
During 1792, William Wilbur Mitchell, Jr. married Catherine Moulder (Born Feb. 17, 1774 or 1778 in Rowan, North Carolina - Died 1850 in Franklin County, Georgia).
According to the “Compiled Census and Census Substitutes Index, 1790-1890”, by 1800, William Wilbur (or Wilburn) Mitchell, Jr. had moved his family to Franklin County, Georgia.
